Adv. (Dr.) Harita Shinde-Bangali, B.Com., LL.B., LL.M. (Criminal Law), Ph.D., is an Advocate and Freelance Academician based in Pune, Mumbai, Vadodara, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. She is Head-Legal at TM Systems Pvt. Ltd., Vice President & Founder Trustee of Vishwaguru Foundation, Vadodara, Director of Vishwaguru Ingenious (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Founder Partner of Vishwaguru Omniscient and S Square Legal, and former Director of Centre for Advanced Legal Studies, Training and Research (CALSTAR), Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. Dr. Harita Shinde Bangali is the recipient of the prestigious Navaratna Award 2023 by Lions International Club, Chandanavati, Vadodara, and the Sanskar Award for her remarkable contribution in education and extra-curricular activities. She was also awarded the Rashtrapati Award for Scout and Guide in 1996 and holds an NCC ‘C’ Certificate with A Grade as Contingent Commander and Cadet Under Officer for Air Wing NCC.

She completed her LL.B. from The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, Gujarat in 2003 and enrolled with the Bar Council of Gujarat in the same year. She earned her LL.M. in Criminal Law in 2006 and completed her Ph.D. in DNA Technology and Law in 2014 under the guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Syed Maswood, Dean, UAE University of Law, Al Ain, UAE.

She cleared the District Judge Examination in Gujarat in 2018 and 2019 and the Judicial Magistrate First Class and Civil Judge Junior Division examinations in Maharashtra in 2007 and 2010. With over 20 years of experience in litigation, academics and corporate law, she has built an exceptional professional career.

She worked as a journalist with Divyabhaskar in 2005 and served as a News Reader for VNM News, K TV and Aaj Kal Gujarati News Channels from 2003 to 2006.

She began her academic career as a faculty member at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, in 2006. She worked with The Mindcrest India Pvt. Ltd.-LPO as Senior Legal Attorney Associate on the US Legal System from 2007 to 2008 and later joined Infosys LPO as Senior Attorney Associate Legal from 2009 to 2011. She also served as Member of Infosys LPO Academy, Editor of the Infosys Newsletter and Knowledge Management Representative for LPO Projects.

Dr. Harita has practiced law in Baroda District Court, Pune District Court and Gujarat High Court, handling civil and criminal matters, corporate laws, contracts, intellectual property rights, consumer protection, family and property disputes, DRT matters and motor accident claims.

She has undertaken legal consultancy, drafting of deeds and documents, and dealt with matters relating to Civil Law, Criminal Law, IT Laws, IPR, Company Law and Insurance Laws in Pune and Baroda.

She has delivered guest lectures on Forensic Science and Law at Symbiosis Law School and served as a visiting faculty member at MIT World Peace University, New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth and Sandip University, Nashik.

With more than 20 publications in reputed international journals, she has co-authored the book “Law Relating to Contraventions under the Information Technology Act, 2000”, which was forwarded by Adv. Ujjwal Nikam, Special Prosecutor, Government of Maharashtra.

She served as Director of CALSTAR at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai, from 2021 to 2024 and is also a member of the Internal Committee for Anti-Ragging at Army Law College, Pune.

Adv. (Dr.) Harita Bangali is currently handling several important civil and criminal matters, including the famous Principal Honrao Murder Case and various cases before civil and family courts in Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Apart from law and academics, she is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and an art lover. Her passion for social and educational development led to the establishment of Vishwaguru Foundation, Vishwaguru Ingenious (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., S Square Legal and Vishwaguru Omniscient.

She also completed the historic journey from Jammu to Kanyakumari (7,800 km) on a two-wheeler within 11 days, from 2nd October 2007 to 13th October 2007, under the aegis of Mission Bharat for the unity and integrity of the nation.
